Frequently Asked Questions

  • There’s a lot to consider. Here’s where to begin:

    • Define your project in detail and identify what services you need. (List as much as you know, we’ll take it from there.)

    • Find a partner with the right expertise and whose work inspires you, so they can help you evolve and grow in the right direction.

    • Relationships are the key to success. Find a team who makes you feel comfortable, has your back, and works to build trust. Use your instincts.

We’d like a chance to be your team, and welcome a conversation with you!

  • Beyond the capabilities listed on our About page, we do light copywriting, editing, and basic proofreading.

We also have trusted partners who are experts in various illustration styles; copywriting, editing, and proofreading; animation, video production, and website development and production. We will create a custom team to suit your project.

Have a larger project that requires a robust website, account services, strategy, eCommerce, database or CRM setup, or analytics? Tell us what you’re looking for and we’ll be glad to let you know if we can line up the right resources.

  • We’d love to! Because no two projects are exactly alike, we’ll need key information from you first. A phone call is most helpful so we can discuss details such as:

    • An overview of your business

    • Who are your audience(s) / customers?

    • What challenges are you facing?

    • Project specifics: what do we need to make or do?

    • Do you have existing branding or creative materials, or will we be starting fresh?

    • Budget range

    • Timeline / key milestones and deadlines - is this a rush?

Please send a message through our Contact page, or email Jen at jen@rarifiedcreative.com, and we’ll schedule a call.

  • Short Answer: Yes!

Long Answer: It depends on the specific project. Once we understand the details, we’ll propose a mutually-beneficial arrangement.

It’s always helpful if you can share a range of what you’re expecting to spend on your project. We’ll review the scope and possibilities with you, and deliver great creative—and strong value—for your budget.

We can provide guidance and negotiate scope in order to deliver what you need at a price that works for you.

  • And cats!

A large portion of our expertise is in pet-related branding and marketing: veterinary services and animal health, pet resorts, and pet rescue. We’re based in the “Animal Health Corridor,” after all.

We’re all owned by pets as well.

  • If you’re local to the Kansas City area, the answer may be yes. Contact us to learn more.

If you’re in Hawaii, the answer is most certainly an enthusiastic yes! :)

  • There are many signs that it may be time to consider refreshing your logo and visual identity. Some of the top reasons include:

    • Outdated design: When your look gives the impression that your brand is old-fashioned

    • Evolution of your strategy or work: Your organization’s mission, services, or products have shifted and your look no longer reflects who you are

    • Differentiation: Competitors or other companies adopted a look too similar to yours

    • Versatility: If your logo doesn’t work well across digital, social, and print media

    • Growth: Your business has scaled and it's time to replace a "good enough" logo with one that better suits your current level of leadership and professionalism

    • Scope: You’ll provide your initial project request and schedule a call to review and discuss, including timing.

    • Team: We identify the team needed to execute your project successfully and align schedules.

    • Proposal: We submit a detailed proposal.

    • Agreement: Upon acceptance of proposal, we’ll share our Creative Services Agreement, including an NDA (or you may provide yours).

    • Brief: You’ll provide a project brief detailing goals, outcomes, mandatories, and deliverables.

    • Strategic Work: You’ll provide or we’ll conduct an industry and competitive analysis, if needed.

    • Creative Work: We’ll engage in ideation, copywriting, and design exploration.

    • Presentation: We’ll present our creative work for your feedback.

    • Revisions: We’ll revise based on your feedback, with an agreed number of revisions or hourly rate.

    • Approval: Execute all work upon approval of the initial work, revising as necessary with your input.

    • Final Delivery: Provide final deliverables.

    • Kick off the next project!

  • Yes, we commonly partner with in-house teams whether that be account services and/or creative, and work just like an extension of your team to deliver the work you need, collaborating along the way. We strive to be flexible and integrate with your work processes and technologies.

  • We’re all natives of Adobe Creative Cloud and Dropbox and use them every day. Microsoft Office is all good, too. We use Figma and Canva as requested, so add us to your team and away we go! We can provide some stock resources or source what we need so we or you can purchase them.

  • Absolutely. Whether it’s new work from the ground up, or picking up where your team left off, trust us to deliver seamless results that delight your clients.

That said, once they get to know us, many agency partners have shifted to giving us a seat at the table with their clients, because of the value we deliver in terms of strategic agility and creative collaboration.

  • We keep the process as streamlined for you as possible—our goal is to make working with us seamless. Jen leads and manages most communications and projects (or assigns this to another team member as appropriate), so you’ll have a single point of contact.

  • Not yet. But one of our favorite clients has been bugging us to get this done, and we will. We love you, Martina!

  • Our whole team strongly believes in supporting worthy causes and our local community. Though we’re not typically able to provide creative services free of charge, we may offer a discounted rate or bartering, at our discretion.

  • We strive to respond to emails and requests right away—we value your time and the opportunity to work with you.

For new clients: response time gets more complicated when we’re in a busy season with current clients. Rest assured that we’ll get back to you as soon as we can, and that once you’re working with us, you will receive priority service too. We give each request careful attention and will reach out if we have questions.
